Gentle Tooth Removal

If you are experiencing tooth pain, it may be time to get your tooth removed. The nagging pain of an infected tooth can distract you from your everyday life and can even be dangerous to your overall health.

Dr Avery and our team take tooth removal very seriously. That means we will do everything in our power to save your tooth, including repairing it and cleaning it. We will only remove your tooth if there is no other viable option.

The Tooth Removal Procedure

Before we remove your tooth, we will review your medical history and take note of any medications you are taking. We will also use digital x-rays to help us plan your extraction or determine which course of action is best for you.

Next, we will numb the area surrounding the affected tooth to ensure that you don’t feel the pain of the removal. Then, we will gently remove the damaged tooth. The removal will be done with the utmost care and will not be performed unless we are certain there is no other remedy.

Situations That May Require Tooth Removal

There are some instances where tooth removal is necessary and even beneficial. For example, if you have severe tooth decay or an infection that can’t be treated with a root canal, we will opt to remove your tooth.

Similarly, a tooth may need to be removed to make room for dentures or other tooth replacement options. If you have fractured or broken your tooth so severely that it cannot be saved, we will need to remove the tooth.

If you’ve been enduring a terrible toothache, please give us a call. We will do our best to get you in as soon as possible. We will take care of your pain and your affected tooth. We would love to help you get feeling better!
